Healthy eating is one of the trends that generate the most food-related innovations in the world each year. This has been going on for a few decades and it will certainly continue to be the case for some time to come. As science continually evolves, we learn more every day about the impact of our diet on our current and future health which plays out in the food market. In fact, the very definition of a healthy diet is changing.
I am very concerned about my health these days. Just a few days back, my mother found out that she has diabetes after a health checkup. And I got my checkup done and I didnt have it but still I am concenred. So are there any specific dietary guidelines I should follow to prevent diabetes? And also for my mom who has diabetes, what are some dietary changes she should do to manage it?

Hey, here are a few points to manage your diabetes 1) in cereals avoid rice, maida you can go with millets, oats, wheat and broken wheat 2) you can take all the pulses - pulses are a good source of protein 3) milk and milk products- take low fat milk and milk products (skim milk, low fat paneer, low fat curd) 4) in fruits, avoid seasonal fruits like watermelon, mango etc 5) vegetables- avoid roots (potato, sweet potato etc) 6) non veg- take lean chicken or fish. Avoid red meat and fried chicken and fish 7) hydrate well so that sugar is not concentrated in blood 8) avoid all forms of sugar - honey, sugar and jaggery 9) sleep well 10) avoid stress Hope it helps 😀
