Product Designer

About the role

We're looking for a Product Designer to join coto and help shape the end-to-end experience of our product. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers and leadership to turn ideas into intuitive, polished user experiences — from early concept sketches to shipped features.

What you'll do

• Own the design process for features from discovery through launch: research, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to scope features and ensure designs are technically feasible and delightful to use.
• Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing and feedback loops to inform design decisions.
• Maintain and evolve our design system/component library for consistency across the product.
• Present design rationale and iterate based on stakeholder and user feedback.
• Balance speed and craft — ship quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality; advocate for the user in product and strategy discussions.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience as a product designer, ideally at a startup or fast-paced product team; fluency in English is a must.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, not just visual polish.
• Proficiency in Figma (or similar) and familiarity with prototyping; experience working closely with engineers and understanding technical constraints.
• Strong communication skills — able to explain design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to move fast in a startup environment.
• Bonus: experience with user research methods, design systems, or motion/interaction design.

Bonus

• Experience designing for mobile apps in an AI-first environment.
• Familiarity with front-end basics to collaborate more fluidly with engineering; prior experience at an early-stage startup.
