Book 2 in the Archeology Series, Secret of the Rakshasas brings back Indian archeologist Aditya Kamat and his friend, Australian Kayla Anderson for another adventure two years after the first. The duo, after a hugely successful mission to retrieve the Nagamani, are now wealthy, famous and partner-owners of Seventh Dimension Archeology, a state-of-the art archeological firm. Compelled to visit the higher realm to interpret an ancient piece of writing and ask advice about a puzzling archeological discovery, Aditya finds out that fugitive Rakshasas are growing in strength and terrorizing the inhabitants of the three kingdoms, waylaying them in the forests that surround the kingdoms. Meanwhile, his cousin Pracheta enters the dimension of the demi gods along with her friends and clandestinely begins learning Naga warfare from the snake princess, Kudala. The rulers of the three empires meet to form a coalition against the renegades after a chilling discovery that convinces them their sovereignty is at stake. The humans decide to help the demi gods in whatever way they can, because this time, chaos and destruction threaten the human realm too.
