I think it all depends on what the child wants to pursue later. For competitive exams in India, CBSE is better. If the child wants to go abroad for undergrad, then IB is a college preparatory curriculum. Also IB has Eng, Math, one Science, one language, one social science compulsory (6 total) plus Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay (all have to do). It’s a very rigorous and tough case and not all kids are cut out for it.

I think this becomes easier as you get older because you stop caring about what people will think. I don’t mean that you stop caring about friends but you just learn to prioritise yourself and your needs and to articulate that loud and clear. Start now. I’m always so busy with my children’s routine that suddenly I have got a few days free as one is away at hostel and the other has gone for a school camp that I’m feeling lost and don’t know what to do. Later on in life when they go away what will I do? Just thinking about all this for the past two days. Moms how do you keep yourselves mentally busy when kids don’t need you so much anymore and they go away?
