I am not getting my periods over 2 month. Recently I underwent appendicitis surgery. (on 4th feb). I had protected sex on 3rd of febrauary. Even though my periods are bit irregular but this time it's frightening me. I did pregnancy test by prega news that turned out to be negative. Hence pregnancy might not be the reason for period delay. Should I consult doctor or wait for few more weeks. ( my usual period cycle is 40 days)

Surgery, illness and even stress can cause a delay in your periods. A 40 day cycle is already longer than usual, so it appears to have been delayed. Usually waiting about 6 weeks or so after a procedure might be the best estimate on when to check with your doctor if you haven't gotten your period.
