Romantik aşk, hem yakınlığın hem de tutkunun var olduğu, bağlılığın illa ki var olması gerekmediği aşk türüdür. Bir gün bitse bile başlangıçta karşımızdakinin bize fiziksel ve zihinsel açıdan çekici geldiği aşk türüdür. Arkadaşça aşk, tutku hariç, bağlanma ve yakınlığın olduğu aşktır. Romantik aşk eğer uzun yıllar sürerse, zamanla tutku azalacağından yerini arkadaşça aşka bırakacaktır. Aptalca aşk, hani şu filmlere konu olan iki kişinin birebirini gördüğü gibi aşık olduğu ve hemen evlendiği tutku ve bağlanmanın olduğu ama aslında çiftlerin birbirlerini o kadar da iyi tanımadıkları aşk türüdür.
