postpartum body trying to lose weight and I am very habitual of intermittent fasting and losing weight but seems like my postpartum body is denying to get into previous shape ,I too have a mood swings and I am a lactating mom my child is 1.7 year old any suggestion .

hi , I am a mother of one year old twins. I am diagnosed with PPD with psychological suicidal thoughts.. I am really afraid of my intrusive thoughts.. like what if i stab myself with knife.. I am scared to enter the kitchen nowadays.. one time I just place the knife on my neck... I know I won't do anything... why i am thinking of harming myself.. even though I am not having intention to die.. thankfully I am thinking of harming myself not my baby.... plz help me... to get rid of those intrusive thoughts
Thanks for your question! It is great that you are able to identify these thoughts that you have. Additional you are taking precautions to prevent self-harm which is also crucial. To understand and work through these thoughts it is best to have your psychologist guide you through them. You should also speak with someone you live with to ask for their help with navigating through negative thoughts. This can be changing scene when the thoughts arrive, having activities to do instead of having these thoughts. These can slowly help channel these thoughts away and substitute them with someone that makes you feel better.r
