Hey there, I am a psychologist and I would like to tell you that after your boyfriend left you, there could be several reasons for which he is still telling you that he loves you but is not being able to stay with you because maybe he has commitment issues, maybe he is not sure about his feelings for you or if not this, maybe there could be other reasons that means that he doesn't know if he wants to be with you but is liking the attention and the external validation that he is getting from you because I can see that you do have feelings for him but he is confusing you a lot. To understand the reason fully , i would need to know the situation fully. But these could be some of the reasons and there is no proper answer for if he wants to come back or not.
