I often find myself confused when it comes to relationships and I guess I'm allowed to be. This time it's a rather serious one. Me and my boyfriend are together for almost 5 years but never in live in. I just think if it's really necessary to live together before getting engaged inorder to know each other better. ?? I can know a person in 5 years if we say that. What's your say in this .?
nandan-2d
hi
Its not necessary to be in live in before engagement you can either take “go with flow” approach and whatever the relationship will enfold solve all problems together, or you can plan and weigh pros and cons in live in and then make informed decision so this can be completely your choice

I'll be moving soon to live with my boyfriend. What are some things I should do and look out for?
major concern is financially security, if this one is perfect then you can handle any type of situation... All the Best...
Regularly check in with each other to discuss how things are going. Agree on basic household rules, create a chore list to ensure tasks are shared fairly, discuss finances and split costs evenly, ensure both of you have some private space, include time for shared activities, approach compromises with a positive attitude & plan for conflict resolution- focus on the issue and not on the person.

What are the four types of cohabitation?
AshMegha-8d
Sharing a place can be with anyone! Romantic partner, friend, roommate, whoever you want! Maybe you need a roommate to split rent, or want to live with your best friend. Cohabitation is flexible.
First type : Trial cohabitation , here couples have future plans of getting married Second type : permanent cohabitation, where no plans of marriage are there Third type : post divorce cohabitation, where partners who got divorced may choose to live with new partner Lastly convenience and economic cohabitation where people choose to live in together because of necessity of work and educational purposes .

How do I know I am making the right choice by moving in with my boyfriend? I hate change and think I have overthought it. I love him and was excited to live with him at first now I’m unsure.
Hey! I understand what you are going through. So a golden rule to decision making is, if 80% of your requirements about moving in with your partner are being met, then definitely do it! The rest of 20% will figure itself out. If you ruminate over that 20%, you will not be able to decide much. Thinking enough to let yourself move in a direction is good but overthinking is something that keeps us stagnant. Do have a conversation about this with your partner as well! Communication always helps.
AshMegha-6d
Living together is a big deal and you guys have to talk it through if any issues or unsurety comes in your way so that you don't have to end something beautiful

Is live in relationship acceptable to many?
It has slowly started to become new normal, yes if consensual
Hey! Hope you are doing well! The concept of living relationship is a very personal choice and it depends completely on the individual. And sometimes the culture, society, family traditions are interlinked too. Though, thanks to the society slowing opening up to these concepts a lot of people have indeed opted to live in to understand each other better.

Hi Coto Fam, I am a working woman, I live alone and I have a boyfriend. I do not wish to move to his parent's house. He is ready to come over (blessed🫰). I am planning to buy a flat. I always wanted to own one. My question is, should we buy the flat together like 'normal' couples? Or should I buy it alone? Given the circumstances these days we can never be sure what happens next, so I'm little concerned on buying a property with someone. However, I see plenty of people who buy flats together and share the expenses. Please help!
please ,NO joint transections, noatter how close both of you feel. Be financially independent means if you can buy on your own ,go ahead. congratulations.
Hi Good to know you have found a loving partner and his family too seems to be caring for you. However, it's advisable to avoid any joint financial transaction, but if you think that it's safe and wish to go ahead.. You can with the readiness to bear it's consequences good or bad!

My boyfriend and I were in a 7 year old relationship, and we were in a living relationship. Now we have broken up and but we had the house on lease together. I don’t have any other place to move to but he has parent’s place. Shall I ask him to move out??
Anonymous7d
Yes of course, baby girl! Ask him to move out and pay the lease yourself. You don't need him at all baby girl!! ❤️
nanc7d
Yes darling! Clearly communicate this problem of yours with him and make him understand that this place is important for you.

I have always liked the idea of a live-in relationship with my boyfriend. My parents are against this idea though as I am still 20. But I think its a good age to explore and live my life and I have been with my bf for 4 years(high-school lovers). What do you think ? How early is too early to move in?
It's important to be financially stable at first to move into a new place. Moreover, it will be wise to have ab honest conversation with your parents and conveying it to them why you want to live in and why it's important to you.
At 20, we have a lot to figure out relating to career, family, relationships so it can get a little overwhelming as one thing can impact another as we explore all facets of life.

I host several podcast it's a huge passion of mine and I also produce I strongly feel that empathy is the glue of humanity and without it what do we have for understanding one another and being kind toward one another is what keeps Us human it's what makes it work and without it what can possibly get better you must hold on to that and remember and show it where it's needed so that people can know what it is and be able to show that same to others connecting and growing with others is within the foundations of empathy that's how the world gets better so we can understand we don't have to directly know one another we must be that change and it starts with us, we must be the change we want to see!more
