I'm (happily!) sexually active with my boyfriend, and let's just say oral sex is a pretty regular part of our routine. Recently, I came across something about dental dams and... honestly, I wasn't sure if they were just for specific situations or if it's something we should be using every single time. I know they can help prevent the spread of STIs, which is obviously important. But is it overkill to use one every time? Do they, like, decrease the pleasure for him? Please help thanks
Are you also doing penetrative sex also? Because then you have to use condom also. If you and your partner are involved physically with each other only and don't have multiple partners, then get both of you tested once and make it clear that no one from you are having any STI. Then you can enjoy this as it is without dental dam. But if any one of you are with more than one partner, then it's better to use it every time. Also yearly testing can be done if you want to be sure always. It's always better to take precautions to avoid consequences. Though it's not liked by you, it's better for you.

I am 16 and I have realised I am not straight for sure. I've been exploring my sexual orientation and identity, and I'm not sure who I can talk to for support and guidance. Are there resources available specifically for LGBTQ+ youth regarding sexual health and well-being?
You are just 16, with time you will get to know everything clearly. And what do ever be your sexual orientation, it's perfectly alright.

Just started college and already facing some serious homophobia from my classmates. They keep making jokes and spreading rumors. I don't want to tell my parents yet, but this is starting to affect my mental health. Any advice on how to handle this?
So first of all you should take help from your professor or some counselor who will help you in dealing with this problem. secondly if you feel like then you should share it with your parents. There is nothing wrong in that, instead they will support you and help you in this situation

Feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome at work ever since my colleagues found out I'm dating another woman. Subtle comments and awkward silences are starting to get to me. What are my rights as a queer woman in the Indian workplace?
Don't feel sad; there is no fault in you. Just accept your feelings and let society understand them. You have every right, so don't worry
Answer
Divorced my husband a few years back and finally came to terms with my sexuality. Dating as a queer woman in my 40s in India feels daunting. Is it even possible to find love again at this age?
Yes, why not? Just believe in yourself and keep searching. I don't know much about such community directly, but Humsafar Trust is one of India's oldest organisations that has been advocating for the rights and the health of LGBTQ+ individuals in India since 1993. Twice every month, they host meet-ups and workshops to bring the community together and socialise. Apart from this, the good folks at Humsafar also provide legal and psychological aid to those in distress. In cases of extortion, blackmail, or to help you through the 'coming out' phase, these are the people you can trust without any qualms. They conduct a bunch of workshops as well so do keep a check on their social media handles and website for the same. The Humsafar Trust has nurtured support groups - YAARIYAN for young LGBTQ+ individuals, UMANG for LBT persons, etc. You can also search online for local LGBTQA communities and join their workshop or discussion groups.

My family keeps pressuring me to get married, but the thought of being with a man terrifies me. I'm not even sure how to tell them I like girls. Any tips for young queer women dealing with societal expectations in India?
Hii dear It can be daunting to share your feelings with family, but it's crucial because it's your life, and you need to speak up. You can also handle this situation by expressing that you have many aspirations in life and simply need a bit more time

I'm 16 in a lesbian relationship and my period is late. I have never been late before. What should I do?
As you are in a lesbian relationship, just getting intimate with your partner, then there will be no chance of pregnancy. This is the first thing. Second thing is if your periods are delayed for first time, just don't worry. Sometime it can happen. Don't worry 👍 But if it is happening repeatedly, then you should consult a gynec for further evaluation and treatment
