I have lost my job. I am neither well emotionally, nor financially, nor physically. What am I doing? I am just angry.
Hi Sandy. I see that you lost your job and I can imagine how terrifying it must be for you. It has impacted you in multiple ways. During such times, it’s natural to feel angry. I would like to share that anger often masks other emotions that you might be feeling. It might help to identify the underlying emotions and address them. I am a counselling psychologist and can help you navigate through this situation. I had an exam today and I was so anxious a day before.How do you deal with exam related anxiety?😭😭
Hi Aaabha. It’s normal to feel anxious before exams. I can understand it can bring lots of thoughts , feelings and sensations. Here are some steps that you can take 1) Relax and ground yourself frequently throughout the day and even before and during the exam - long inhale and exhale , an exercise called Progressive Muscle relaxation ( it’s guided method, you will find videos on YouTube ) take small breaks between studying and take frequent breaks , and listening to calming music might be helpful. Since the exam is on the very next day, we can focus more on relaxing and going through the study material with ease versus the pressure of what’s gonna happen.
