Hey, I've something and thought your opinion could really help me out. I'm not entirely sure about the dynamics of romantic relationships and the role of intimacy. Can a romantic relationship actually work without sexual aspect? I've heard differing opinions, but I'm genuinely curious about your take on this. @Sexologist_DrKalps

can two people have a good relationship without having sex? Yes. Sex is not the only way people let each other know they care. People demonstrate love by being there for each other, solving problems together, sharing hard times as well as good times, helping each other grow, and being patient with each other. In older age or in some sexless marriages, couples live happily without sex also. But in my opinion, Romantic attraction goes a little bit deeper. It makes your relationship more strong as well as vulnerable too. If attachment is maintained, it becomes strong. But if not then most vulnerable to break. And one has to take efforts to maintain it. Even the court considers Denial to sex as mental harassment and on it's basis can grant divorce to your partner. Or there are some couples, who are married but not physically intimate now, and the partner is being physical outside the marriage. Still they are ok as one partner is sexless. But it's very hard for anyone. You have to choose.

So intimacy basically makes your bond strong and I think this is something very important in a romantic relationship. maybe some relationships would have worked without it as well. But I think it is a crucial factor in one's relationship. If you both are comfortable and ready then you should engage in sex.
