Do you think what Poonam Pandey did was right?? Yes, Cervical Cancer is an issue which needs more awareness and attention but that doesn’t mean you mislead an entire nation right?? The PR stunt was very unique but a very fake and deceptive one. What are your thoughts?? #bollywood #bollywoodcommunity

I definitely agree there is a need for awareness about Cervical Cancer. But what Poonam Pandey was not at all justifiable. Although her intentions and her cause was right but her approach was not. She should have started a campaign or maybe some conferences and workshops could have been conducted by her to raise awareness but faking a death is very wrong.

While raising awareness about cervical cancer is important, using a PR stunt, like Poonam Pandey did, might be seen as unique but can also be considered fake and deceptive. Balancing attention-grabbing tactics with sincerity is crucial when addressing serious health issues.

I agree. Publicising death was not in good taste. I'm told the agency that orchestrated the PR stunt has got fired by the company that commissioned it.

Always known I was different, but never had the courage to explore it. Now that I'm retired, I'd love to connect with other LGBTQ+ women, especially older folks like myself. Any suggestions for LGBTQ+ senior groups in India?

With my community ' UnBound with Mamtaa.' I am excited to put-out a stage for women from various walks of life, where they can come together and talk about their journeys and challenges. The sheer opportunity to brew conversations that are relevant, yet not so often spoken about is my biggest motivator and inspiration to form this community. Allowing discussions that are highly intimate yet maintain anonymity and privacy, the community will be a safe and transformational space for women, who want to have diffficult dialogues yet candid discussions at the same time. Topics of engagements here will range from ageism, sexism, gender diversity, LGBTQI, inclusion, acid attack survivors, domestic violence, parenting, patriarchy, sex education, etc. The community will furthermore facilitate unearthing of women's trials, fears, vulnerabilities, unlearning, failures, detractors and ‘all that goes in the making of them’. The community will be a 'go to place- for all the women looking for validation, support, a patient listening , love , approval , acceptance or just togetherness and solidarity. We always claim to know or associate with people from a yardstick, that is their accomplishments or successes. 'UnBoundwithMamtaa.' is a community that recognizes ‘the human’, behind and beyond the professional or personal success. And with these powerful exchanges and decodings , we strive to create an impact and set in a change, for which we all have been long waiting 🌟🎇more
