I feel like being successful as a woman in India is equal to a crime. So, I've been told I'm too ambitious and intimidating, especially in relationships. How do I own my ambition without being seen as 'too much' or 'unfeminine'? It's like, I want to go after my goals without feeling like I have to tone it down to fit in. have you faced something like this??

being too ambition and too intimidating is never a bad thing. i think it scares people and they start seeing you as equal competition, which is one of the places where this insecurity comes from. and you’ve managed to accomplish this without losing your femininity because this has come natural to you. so why stop now? when it comes to a relationships, you are probably not with the right person if they can appreciate you for who you are and support you in your ambition.

yes, yes I have always faced this and continue to face it. People judge you left, right and centre and make comments that no one asked for. What I have learnt is to be who you want to be irrespective of their stupid opinions. you will also find many people are afraid of the feminine power. Till the time she is small and under someone's ( read , a man) wing till that time, it's okay, when she spreads her own wings that's the time all these so called 'Men and moral Women' come out to tell you, your place. You, kindly give them the middle finger and keep going. ;)
