"Stereotype Warriors" community refers to individuals who actively challenge and combat stereotypes in various contexts, such as gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or other social categories. These individuals strive to raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and dismantle prejudiced assumptions. They work towards fostering understanding, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all, encouraging others to challenge their own biases and preconceptions. Stereotype Warriors play a vital role in promoting a more tolerant and equitable society.
My father's side of family still has a bit of patriarchal approach towards everything. Although both girls and boys in my family are given education and the importance to be independent in their career. However in some areas they again start favoring boys such as that as he is a boy he might be more hungry and may eat more or sports are something that boys should participate in. Such instances make me furious as I feel left out. I understand that patriarchy is deep rooted in our society and will take some time to progress from there to a gender neutral society. Have you ever witnessed such an incident at home ? Share your stories.

I haven't witnessed such things at home since we are given equal importance but I have seen people around me giving more importance to boys in various things

Yes, at my home there are often many patriarchal norms where boys can easily move outside, but girls are restricted from going outside after 7.

Is it really tough as a single woman (separated, divorced, widowed, unmarried) in India? Can you share your experiences, both pleasant or unpleasant? @Zanzanil
Hey @Zanzanil My sister recently got divorced. Being an engineer she was treated like a slave, she tried to make it work for one whole year, you just can't believe what she went through… In spite of being intelligent, beautiful and well-educated, she was afraid to leave that hell just thinking of what people would think about her. Why is divorce still a taboo for women in India? Even though the husband physically abuses her, society expects women to adjust. Why?
