So I was seeing this Hindi serial on television. The plot is like there is a father who looks after her three daughters after their mother's demise. They all live happily together, supporting and loving each other. Now both the elder daughters have been married and are staying in separate houses with their inlaws whereas the youngest daughter is living with her father to care of him. she also doesn't want to marry as she will have to leave her father and then he will be alone and would have Noone to look after him. Finally the younger daughter likes a guy however she accepts marriage on the condition that that her husband will live with them in their house as in be the ghar jamai whereas the daughter goes out to work. While watching this I was wondering the society's perspective on it. How this issue is still prevalent in society. Today also people expect women to go and live with their inlasw. However if the same is to be done by a male then it is considered to be an insult to him. Why can't husband come and live with their inlaws? What are your thoughts? Do you agree with it ?

It is absolutely okay for the son in law to go and live with his in laws and there nothing wrong with it
