I have been together with my bf for more than 5 years now. We started dating when we were in our college. Now we both are settled in our career. I think this is the right time to propose him. Do you think it is too soon to propose? Pls advice
Its too soon when both of you haven't mutually discussed and decided the timeline of your future and how you want to proceed with each other's expectations

For the past three months, my relationship with my best friend has been changing inexplicably. He's been avoiding me, and on May 11th, I caught him with another girl. Shockingly, I learned they've been together for over eight months. This revelation shattered my heart, and yesterday, he officially ended things between us. Is it advisable to move on swiftly from such a painful situation, or is it better to wait before attempting to move forward?
Hey there I understand this is a heartbreaking and a very challenging situation. Firstly you can focus on acknowledging your feelings and attempting to understand them so that it helps you gain perspective and help you understand how to move ahead for your future.

Me and my partner had an arranged marriage. We went for honeymoon for 2 weeks but since it was arranged, we weren't able to enjoy it fully. We aren't able to understand each other well and feel there should be more time for us. I sometimes get anxious over him for not understanding me. Then I feel it's not his fault also. So I told him that we should have gone for honeymoon for longer time to get alone time and mingle with each other. Please tell me How long is the honeymoon phase?
Hey there, There's no specific time frame that defines honeymoon phase, it can be whenever you want and however long you want. Sometimes we can pressurize ourselves because of the society's comments on it and because of that pressure we might not feel completely in the moment. It doesn't really have to start just after marriage as well. You can try being friends first and getting to know each other before identifying your feelings rather than feeling pressured to like your partner.

Incorporating a holistic approach, how can nutrition support mental and emotional well-being for women, including strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and mood fluctuations?
Hey there Holistically speaking, nutrition plays a great role in the biological context of a woman's mental and emotional health. Building a healthy relationship with food along with good nutrition goes a long way in managing stress and building resilience to tackle anxiety inducing situations. Along with right nutrition, maintaining a routine, balancing cortisol, regular sleep, fitness and mindfulness among others can go a long way to ensure holistic health.

hello, my boyfriend says we should try live in. we have been together for 3 years now. Do couples last longer if they live together before marriage? Because I am not ready but if it's good for our relationship....
Hey there Live in is good for a trial run to understand each other's comfort zones, compatibility and respect for each other's spaces. it's not a compulsion, but it does gives a heads up on the living arrangements after marriage

Hey guys. I've always been in a toxic household and wanted to leave just as soon as I can. I couldn't go out for my studies as they didn't allow me but now when I'm in a stable and loving relationship I'm thinking of getting into a live in. Now the thing is my parents aren't allowing it and my boyfriend is pestering me. What do I do now.???
Hey there, Getting pressured by both sides can certainly be uncomfortable and challenging to deal with, but it's also your decision about your life so try to analyse the pros and cons of either step you wish you take and understand what might be good for you. It can certainly be uncomfortable to get out of your comfort zone, but if it benefits you in the future, then it might even be worth it :)

I have been dating a guy since 3 years and I actually love him for who he is. We have a good connection with each other. Yesterday,he suggested that we should move in together as we both have enough trust and love for each other now. But I am still confused about it. How much long should we date to move in together? Is 3 years enough or not? My mind is filled with such questions. Please clarify🙏🏻
Hey there isn't a specific time limit after which you can move in together. and its also completely okay to feel confused, if it's bothering you can make a pros and cons list to help you understand and organize your thoughts and make a decision accordingly.

How do couples manage to stay together for decades? I've never managed to make a relationship work for more than 2-3 years at a time. Am I doing something wrong? Is it just luck?
Hey there There isn't really a manual on how long a relationship persists. A relationship can go on for years and still be toxic. All that matters for a good relationship to persist is effective communication, trust building, commitment, love and compassion for each other amongst other things.

How to be calm and have patience if someone irritates you
Hey there, Being calm in a situation that tests your patience is something that shows your resilience. Try not to enable that person's behavior by giving a reaction. You can very well remove yourself from that situation after a point. You should not be obligated to entertain every person who comes your way and does not respect your boundaries
Answer
how to move on.
Hey there, moving on and recovering from the end of a relationship is a personal journey for everyone and it happens gradually. Try to focus on your mental, physical and emotional health and self care so that you don't lose yourself in the process of moving on. It takes time but gradually it'll get better.

Hello, I'm Ananya Singh, a dedicated psychology expert with over 2 years of experience in the field. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate through various life challenges and enhancing their mental well-being. Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of working extensively with adolescents, adults, and middle-aged adults. Mental health has often been neglected, and one of my primary motivations for becoming a psychologist. I love helping people and understanding their problems. I have been studying psychology for the past 7 years, and I have never been as passionate about anything else as I am about psychology. As I delved deeper into the field, I recognized that I, too, had my own mental health challenges, including self-esteem and anxiety issues. Before I started counseling others, I sought therapy myself and worked through my personal struggles, which reinforced my commitment to helping others. My expertise covers a wide range of issues, including relationship problems, breakups, marital conflicts, body image concerns in women, self-esteem issues, comparisons with the unrealistic standards set by social media, spouse-related issues, and the pervasive struggles with anxiety and depression, particularly among young women. My approach is empathetic and tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth. In my practice, I have conducted over 200 hours of counseling sessions, predominantly with women of all ages, helping them overcome their struggles and achieve a balanced mental state.
