Congratulations first of all to have reached the decision making stage. For living harmoniously with cultural differences we need to consider the childhood lifestyles too. If they are in sync, all will be set very comfortably. If the childhood environment was also different consider talking it clear with your partner about the cultural space n rituals of your family and his. Mutual respect, acceptance and involvement in rituals is must must must. You should clarify this in both families beforehand to get a clear pic. Quick Tip : Just know that Love is beyond rituals. If spending sometime n energy in the cultural happiness of the spouse keeps the LOVE going.. It's a profitable investment. Don't let the ego of families get on the way. Strike a balance. Hi! I love how open and flexible you are towards learning about your partner’s culture. I feel reading up about it, asking them questions and spending time with their family is also very important for hands on exposure. Mutual respect and communication play a huge role. Be open towards why your partner is a certain way and they should also strive to know the same about you. When we probe the reason for someone’s behaviour, it tends to reduce fights too!
