Bu durumun çalışma motivasyonu olarak pozitif etkide bulunması öngörülüyor. Gelişmemiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerle karşılaştırıldığında daha az işçi gücüyle insanlar çok daha rahat ve yüksek refah düzeyi içinde yaşıyorlar. Gelişmemiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeler de ise haksızlıklarla dolu yüksek çalışma gücünün karşılığı ise neredeyse bir hiç. Bu durum ülkeler bazında hem mutsuzluğu hem de finansal özgürlüğün ciddi manada kısıtlanmasına yol açıyor.
