I’m curious about how much alone time is normal in a relationship. I love spending time with my partner, but I also value my independence and need time to recharge. What’s a healthy balance for alone time in a relationship? How do you ensure both partners feel connected while also having their own personal space?

Hello Dear. I'm a Consultant Psychologist and Sexual Health Expert. It's very healthy to have alone time and having time and hobbies outside of relationships. You can take as much time as possible for you to recharge after letting your partner know why this is important. And both of you can talk about each of your needs and come to a decision on how much you want to spend together considering your other schedule, what would you want to do and always choose. quality time over movies or going out for dinner. Anything that makes you feel connected would help you grow in relationship even if you spend only few hours a day together.
