How come we so often hear of men losing all their money in divorces, yet women seem to not lose money and actually gain most/all of the time. Why does it happen this way? @Zanzanil

The perception that men often lose money in divorces while women gain or maintain financial stability may stem from a variety of factors, including societal norms, legal frameworks, and individual circumstances. In many cases, divorce settlements are based on factors such as each spouse's earning potential, contributions to the marriage, and childcare responsibilities, rather than gender. However, disparities in income and assets between spouses, as well as biases in the legal system, can sometimes lead to unequal outcomes. It's important to recognize that every divorce case is unique, and outcomes can vary widely based on the specific circumstances involved.

This is what you hear, but do you have the facts and figures with you. What we just hear can be very misleading, and we should not base our opinion on it. Since you are contemplating a divorce, talk to your lawyer and be very sure of this. Also every case is different, you can not generalise it to your situation. Please be well informed with a lawyer's help before taking the decision.

Hi! Hope you are well.. Divorce and it's settlements are not one size fits all.. it's different for different couples and situations. Generally, it shows women receiving alimony as they are not financially independent. But in many other cases it's the women running the house and not the men. To get more authentic information on divorce and it's procedures do consult a lawyer.
