There is no average time I guess. Maybe one or two months if they really love each other and don't find anything red flags yet. If he's not showing signs, your friend should talk to him directly or indirectly or however she feels like. Sometimes men are scared to have the talk

There's no specific timeline but it depends on whether both of them have had the conversation whether they want to be married or not because mutual communication is something that is very important and also relevant to both of their future.
