My friends are forcing me to go out to bars at night. I hate that scene and I'm a morning person, not a night person. Why does she keep asking me? How can I get her to stop? #relationshipcounselor

Just tell her that you don't like going out to clubs at night. you are not that kind of person who enjoys this stuff. Tell her in a straightforward manner

It's possible your friend enjoys the nightlife and assumes you might too. Be honest with her about your preference for mornings and politely let her know you're not into the bar scene. Communication is key in these situations.

I think this becomes easier as you get older because you stop caring about what people will think. I don’t mean that you stop caring about friends but you just learn to prioritise yourself and your needs and to articulate that loud and clear. Start now. Explain nicely but be assertive the next time you decline and stick to it. Don’t give in.
