Firstly please don't pressurise him for getting good grades all the time. Protect his/her mental peace. And find out why he's facing difficulties and work accordingly

Talk to your child politely. Maybe take him out to his fav place and ask him if he is facing any issue. If yes then what. Maybe he might require tuitions for a specific subject or maybe u can teach him.
