I am a single parent of a teenage daughter. I have been divorced since 2019 and single since 2017. I restarted my career at the age of 40 when I separated. I moved with my 10 year old kiddo to a new city with new lifestyle. Life was tough but with proper support and determination, I could turn around my life. I am still work in progress and healing from what I went through. So, I want to open this forum for all single women who need support, love and a space of non-judgmental sharing. Let us build a community of understanding and togetherness. YOU ARE NOT ALONE ANYMORE(YANAA) Cheers, Sandhyaa S Pillai

Me and my husband have separated because we knew that it didnt work for us. we tried staying together for 5 years only for the sake of our child. But now we couldn't deal with each other. However we have decided that we will not let it effect our son. How can I co-parent effectively with my former partner after divorce? @Singleparent Diaries 💕

I am happy to hear you took a strong decision of co-parenting. Co- parenting is healthy and effective if we set the rules and goals from the beginning. Pls have a clear talk with your ex about what you both want for your child and its future. Think of few activities you want to do every month to ensure that child gets the best of both. especially no bitching, complaining, and whining about the other partner in front of the child. Let the child grow and mature to understand the truth. Hope it helps.

I just got divorced and now i don’t know how to live my life alone. All of my days were surrounded by him but now as he is not around, i feel extremely strange. How can i start enjoying my company alone??
Make yourself occupied with this things you like. Learn something. Especially exercise. If possible, go for a solo trip. Do things that you thought you can't do. Hope this helps for now.

So sad I went for a movie with my son and when I came home I had my husband not eating food and calling me names. Just because I went out for a movie with my son . Does it happen with u - how do u deal with it
Anonymous14d
It's okay to go and enjoy with your children especially when your partner doesn't have time. You don't have to restrict yourself just because your partner doesn't have time for you!
nanc14d
He might also wanted to go with you both and must be calling you names out of jealousy as he missed all the fun with his family 🥰

Hey. I have had a doubt for sometime now. I always saw my parents as not one. like fighting and all. it was very rare that they both are on the same page. I wanted to know if we live together before marriage can we avoid these kinds of misunderstandings or conflicts after marriage. So like Is living together before marriage a bad idea or an okay one?
Anonymous-6d
Living together absolutely doesnt guarantee marriage's success
Living together doesn't guarantee the success of your marriage. Infact even when u live in you will face conflicts, misunderstandings, however it will help you both in understanding each other and make your bond stronger.

My boyfriend and I were in a 7 year old relationship, and we were in a living relationship. Now we have broken up and but we had the house on lease together. I don’t have any other place to move to but he has parent’s place. Shall I ask him to move out??
Anonymous6d
Yes of course, baby girl! Ask him to move out and pay the lease yourself. You don't need him at all baby girl!! ❤️
nanc6d
Yes darling! Clearly communicate this problem of yours with him and make him understand that this place is important for you.

What are the two benefits of living together? (so i can convince my parents for this)
Hi you can start a conversation by asking their opinion.By living together will help you to understand each other in a better way and also you can learn to take responsibilities with out taking any pressure and understanding these tiny details will help you to take proper dicision in later life
One can know if they are compatible or not this can reduce divorce rates . Also by this you can understand your partner better which will deepen your relationship.

"My elderly mother has been struggling to take care of herself, and I’ve been considering live-in care as an option. I want her to have the support she needs, but I’m not entirely sure what the real purpose of live-in care is. Can anyone share their experience or explain how live-in care benefits someone in this situation?"
Hi beautiful soul, Live in care for elderly is 24/7 live support. There are many organisations now a days who give this support , you can search on internet. Benefits: 1. Customised tailored care. 2. Caregiver is hired from agency. 4. Trained caregiver live with client. Services: 1. all kinds of personal care. 2. medication management. 3. All the household chores are done. 4.Companionship and help in socializing. it can never be a substitute to the parent by their children. 5. They take care of mobilization too.
Anonymous-4d
The purpose of live-in care is to provide 24/7 support for individuals who need assistance with daily activities while allowing them to remain in the comfort of their own home. Here are some key benefits: Live-in care offers one-on-one attention tailored to the specific needs of the individual, whether it’s help with mobility, medication management, or personal hygiene.Staying at home helps maintain a sense of independence and comfort. Familiar surroundings can be especially important for elderly people or those with dementia.
