The carefree teenage attitude toward skin care left me feeling very vulnerable when at the ripe old age of 20, I develop acne. It begun as irregular very large deep spots, that where incredibly painful and big. With a terrible habit of picking and scratching at them I developed what looked like meth head scars on my face. Please tell me how to get rid of this acne? @Dr.Trupti_Raja

I am getting rashes from pads. What can I do to stop them?
If you have noticed rashes with one pad brand, it maybe helpful to try another. Another reason could also be using the pad for extended periods of time, which makes you more prone to rashes. Alternatives can include period panties or cloth pads which can help prevent rashes and are also eco-friendly as they are reusable. During your periods opt for loose cotton underwear and change it twice a day to limit sweat and rashes. If this doesn't subside with these simple changes, check in with a doctor to understand a possible underlying cause.

Keep the affected area clean and dry, you can also apply a soothing cream or ointment that you can purchase over the counter. Ensure you're changing pads frequently to help prevent sanitary pad rash.

Seperti apa kanker itu?
Anonymous5d

hey guys, I am girl with a little fat body, I have darkness near my vagina, I don't know what to do, I was using clean and dry before some time due to rashes, is it darkness caused by clean and dry, can you give suggestions for how to get rid of it.
The color of your intimate area can be naturally darker for some people, and it's normal. Using intimate wash shouldn't usually make it darker, but some ingredients might affect it for some individuals. If you're worried, it's best to ask a doctor. But Recurrent infection induced rashes can also be followed by more darkening of this area. But in that case also you have to consult your doctor for this issue. Over hygiene/unhygien both are harmful for intimate area. Also to use one for infection, you should consult your doctor before starting. And if you don't have any infection, then it's better you avoid using intimate wash.

Due to my increased weight, I have black and darkened neck, underams and inner thighs. My elbows and knees are also very pigmented. Is this an indication of any serious condition? I'm very concerned. Please help guys!!
Do you have irregular period, hirsutism - male pattern hairs on face like upper lip etc.? You might have insuline resistance which could be due to PCOS also. But to confirm it, you have to consult a gynecologist and also do certain investigations. It's a lifestyle disorder and you have to work on your lifestyle. Increase workout/any form of exercise at least for 45 minutes daily, if you have sedentary lifestyles. Also dietary changes. You can consult a dietician for that. Make it fast, because it's gonna affect your periods and hence your fertility in future. Take it seriously and start working on it. It's a alarming sign.

I have been diagnosed with scabies recently and I have never heard of this disease before. At first I thought that it is somehow related to rabies, but it's not. Can anyone please suggest me some treatment and precautions related to this particular disease?
Anonymous5d
I can imagine it's unsettling to receive a diagnosis of scabies, especially if it's unfamiliar to you. While scabies may sound alarming, it's crucial to tackle it swiftly. Typically, treatment entails using prescription medications such as permethrin cream or oral ivermectin, which are effective in eradicating the mites responsible for the infestation. Rest assured, addressing it promptly can help alleviate symptoms and prevent further spread.

. Hi there, I'm Swati. How can I address hormonal acne and other skin issues associated with hormonal fluctuations? @Drkarishma
docmfrank-3d
The best way to do this is to consult with both your gynecologist and a dermatologist. To understand what the causes are for your hormonal fluctuations, your gynecologist might be able to recommend some simple ways to get your cycles on track. Also, in some instances our diets, lack of sleep, gain in weight can all be contributors to cycle specific acne. So doing a simple inventory of your lifestyle can help you pinpoint the causes.

I struggle with acne flare-ups during my period. Are there specific foods I should avoid to help with this?"
Hi there, I hope you are well. Acne flare ups happen due to hormonal fluctuations , and this can lead to increased sebum production culminating into clogged pores, and then, acne. However, yes, a healthier lifestyle can definitely help. •Incorporate fresh fruits, and vegetables in your diet as these are a good source of antioxidants. •Include foods which are rich in Vitamin C, and Vitamin E such as citrus fruits, guava, berries, bell-peppers, nuts(almonds, walnuts) seeds ( chia seeds, sunflower seeds), spinach, broccoli, etc. - Opt for yogurt, buttermilk over milk, cheese, and paneer. - Include probiotic rich foods such as kimchi, fermented pickles, idli, dosa, dhokla to the diet. - Add herbal teas such as spearmint tea, hibiscus tea, chamomile tea, and ginger tea to the routine. - Include omega-3 rich foods to the diet, avocado, fatty fish, nuts, and seeds. - For protein, have lean meat, beans, lentils, and millets. - Drink enough water and rest well. - Exercise for 20-30mins Take care

how to get rid off from my pigmentation issue
Pigmentation, often caused by sun exposure, hormonal changes, or skin inflammation, can be addressed through various methods. Firstly, sun protection is crucial to prevent further darkening. Topical treatments like hydroquinone, retinoids, and vitamin C serums can help lighten pigmentation by inhibiting melanin production and promoting skin cell turnover. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion exfoliate the skin, reducing the appearance of pigmentation over time. Laser therapy, including intense pulsed light (IPL) and fractional lasers, can target specific pigmented areas for more significant results. Additionally, incorporating antioxidants and brightening agents into your skincare routine can support overall skin health and fade pigmentation gradually. Hi Zealfulnutria, I hope you are well. Pigmentation can happen due to various issues- 1) It could due to long standing acne. 2) Sun exposure 3) Age 4) Some medications, and treatments, etc. You will have to visit a dermatologist to understand how your pigmentation can get better, essentially you may have to apply some actives or undergo treatment based on the severity of pigmentation. Home-remedies don't work for pigmentation as it can be skin deep :) Take care. Ensure to have a diet with green leafy vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, lean meat, yogurt, buttermilk, and millets. This can keep your skin healthy. Also, try to workout regularly, as it can increase the blood circulation in your body, and keep your skin healthy. I hope this helps :)
