@Dietitianpriti As I approach menopause, I'm curious about dietary choices that support this transitional phase. Women who have successfully navigated menopause, what dietary changes did you find beneficial? Any superfoods or specific nutrients that played a crucial role in managing symptoms?

Eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Aim to have 2 portions of oily fish (for example salmon, sardines, mackerel) twice a week. If you do not eat fish, have daily nuts, and seeds which also contain omega 3. Aim for a handful of nuts and seeds a day.

Mantras can be chanted during menstruation but one cannot use a japa-mālā. If you wish to count the recitations then use your fingers or iMālā app on your phone. Lord Varāha has taught in the Varāhā Purāṇa that a women can do anything she wants in terms of devotional service during her menstruation after reciting the following mantra:- anādi madhyāntam ajam purāṇam rajasvalā devavaram namāmi | "अनादि मध्यांतम अजम पुराणम्, रजस्वला देववरम् नमामि।" “Though in my menses I offer my obeisance to the preeminent Lord, the Unborn Eternal One without origin, middle or end.” (Varaha Purana 142;10) Very few people know this mantra and are thus subjected to so much anxiety and disability. So please share it with as many women as you can.

Good morning everyone Here is a quick and healthy breakfast recipe for PCOD and Hormonal imbalance. This is called ‘Taalipattu/ Akki rotti’ in south India. Ingredients are Rice flour -250gm( cools the body and has fibre) Onion -1 medium sized finely chopped.(helps in hair growth) Coriander and curry leaves - finely chopped ( strengthen hair) Til-3-4 spoons roasted ( builds endometrium) Beetroot and carrot - 1 small sized finely grated.( has vit A, balances blood sugar,improves iron and has phytoestrogen) Jeera -1 spoon (good for digestion) Turmeric - 2 pinch ( anti-inflammatory) Grated fresh coconut - 1/4 cup.(good for hair and skin) Salt and chilli acc to the requirements. Mix all the above ingredients by adding sufficient quantity of water. Can directly make it flatten on Tawa. Have it with chatneys, curd , ghee or pickle.
