Sex therapists use an assortment of evidence-based treatments to help people improve their sex lives. Most often, they use psychotherapy (commonly known as talk therapy), which involves building a talking relationship to establish and assess your feelings, thoughts and behaviors.
@Sexologist_DrKalps Hi..Experiencing discomfort down there, but discussing it feels awkward due to our society. How do I push past this discomfort and get help for my sexual health without feeling embarrassed? I am a lil awkward in these as I know how even doctors look at us if we take any problem related to this before marriage.

So see I understand that we have always told that it is bad or something wrong to talk about sexual health. However there is nothing to be embarrassed of in it. It is just a natural process that everyone goes through. There should be awareness about it. Don't be scared of consulting a doc if you face any discomfort. visit the doctor before it worsens your problem.

There are indeed social factors and stigma that can contribute to women feeling hesitant to express their sexual desires or pleasure. Societal norms, cultural beliefs, gender roles, and historical attitudes toward female sexuality can all play a role in creating an environment where women may feel judged or shamed for being open about their sexual desires or enjoyment. But to get over it, you have to take efforts. If any doctor is making you feel ashamed of this, first of all change the doctor. You can consult me or any Sexologist without any hesitation. The place from where you came, your partner goes in and your kid is going to come inside this world, how it could be a disgusting organ? So Educate Yourself first. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself and remember that seeking help for your sexual health is a brave and important step. Remember You're Not Alone. Talk to close Friends or Trusted Individuals from family. Find a Trusted Healthcare Provider to give you Treatment.

Hey. Hope you are doing well. I completely understand what you are going through. It can be tough talking about this with a judgy doc. In that case, make Sure you research well and see which doctor suits your needs the best. If it doesn’t work out, you can always change the doctor. Not all will be like this. Also, engage into some psycho education. Find resources of sex education and you will see how normal it is to talk about your sexual desires and issues. Practice self love and speak to a trusted person.

I'm (happily!) sexually active with my boyfriend, and let's just say oral sex is a pretty regular part of our routine. Recently, I came across something about dental dams and... honestly, I wasn't sure if they were just for specific situations or if it's something we should be using every single time. I know they can help prevent the spread of STIs, which is obviously important. But is it overkill to use one every time? Do they, like, decrease the pleasure for him? Please help thanks
