What role does nutrition play in managing stress and emotions that are directly tied to concerns about body image?
Hey my fellow She-ro, nutrition definitely effects our mental health. Have you ever noticed, when we are hungry, we get cranky and irritated? The same way how hunger effects our brain, balanced nutrition effects our brain and emotions too. Good foods can make you feel confident and happy while refined foods can cause depression and body image issues (even if u are fit). This becomes a cycle for a person, eating unhealthy foods can cause body image issues, which makes us sad and we again end up eating junk food just to make ourselves feel better, which has a temporary effect. Then again we are back to feeling depressed and having body image issues. The only way to break out of this cycle is to change our lifestyle and food habits. Initially we have to work hard to break this cycle. After reaching our health goal, we can definitely go back having a balanced diet and enjoying all our food cravings. This is called smart eating. Hello @Vibrant_Tortoise_5290 PCOD is a very common yet serious condition that majority of women face. My advise would be to get checked with your gynec first. Because if your hormones are not under control, no matter how much exercise you do or how much healthy u eat, you will observe no changes at all. Get to know the severity of your PCOD, based on that I would be happy to help you plan your diet and workout regime.

The best time is usually, anytime from sunrise to sunset @Jyothi. When I say best time here, it means that during that time, our metabolisms are very active and more nutrients get absorbed, that way you have the maximum benefit from eating nuts.

I am a new mom of a 3 month old boy.. I feel so helpless, stressed and extremely anxious all the time... I miss my old life terribly. I feel as if I have nothing in common with my pre-motherhood life and have been forced into a shell which is extremely isolating. I have minimal family support. Even though I have 2 nannies for my kid, I am always on the edge. I dread his nannies taking leaves coz I know I won't be able to survive even for a day without them. I want to handle my kid independently as much as possible but I m too dependent on his nannies I feel. sometimes I feel I am just an inch away from a nervous breakdown.
Hey baby mama, firstly you have brought a life into this world and just by voicing it out, you truly have taken the first biggest step towards becoming your better version. And of course, this was a major transition in your life from being a carefree awesome sexy woman to putting your through pregnancy and it's fluctuating hormones to being responsible for another human's life full time. First step is accepting this transition baby mama. You are a different woman now, explore this new woman and find your strength and confidence in this new woman. I'm sorry to say by u need to let go of your old self as that's never coming back. Treat that as a break up with old self and love this new version of you. Try this exercise - write down 10 things you are grateful about everyday, it can as small as I'm thankful to have a bed. This is not miracle treatment, start doing it everyday, consistently for one month, you notice the shift that happens in your thinking. I wish happiness and love.

Self care is definitely important. If we do not love ourselves, how can we expect the other person to love us. Having said that, it more important to treat self care as a relationship with yourself. In a relationship, there's happiness, sadness, fights.... Same way we'll have our sad days where we cnt accept the body, fights with ourselves that we are not doing enough. It is OK to have all of it. Realise that, all those are just passing clouds that are temporarily. Always get back to accepting and loving yourself in the end.
