I've been going through a rough time lately with anxiety and depression. I am just 21 and it's scaring me. Lately, I've noticed my sex drive completely tanking, and it's making me feel even more disconnected from my partner. We haven't talked about it yet, but I'm worried it's putting a strain on our relationship. Does anyone else experience this? Will he leave me? Is there a connection between mental health and sexual well-being?

There is a very strong relationship between sexual wellness and mental health. Because disturbed mental health, can eventually disturb sexual life and all sexual issues are ultimately psycho-sexual problems. Also medicines which are given to solve mental problems, are mostly harmful for sexual desire. So if you are taking any like anti depressant, SSRI etc, they are going to reduce your libido. Then talk to your doctor to change the medicine or reduce the dosage. Also have a open discussion with your partner. He will understand that as you are disturbed mentally, their could be some ups and downs. If he support you, you will feel relieved and it will help to get cured. Don't enter your bedroom with yes for sex always, but if it happens don't stop yourself from enjoying it. Remember Use it or lose it. Don't pressurise yourself for orgasm always. Sometime sex can be done just to relax. If you do some relaxation techniques/mindfulness practices before going to bedroom, it will help.

In some instances life can be slightly overwhelming which makes us question a lot of aspects of our life, especially our relationships. To know truly how someone else is feeling it is best to ask them. I also would suggest openly discussing how you feel would help your partner assess what are next steps you can take both for yourself and together.

Hello Everyone I hope you'll are doing well ✨️
This too shall pass✨️💗
Overthinking is the process of analyzing or worrying about something to an excessive degree, often leading to stress and confusion. It involves replaying situations, imagining worst-case scenarios, or overanalyzing every detail, which can prevent clear decision-making and hinder emotional well-being. Rather than finding solutions, overthinking often traps individuals in a cycle of doubt and uncertainty, making it harder to move forward.✨
Sending you love and strength 💖
