I’ve been skipping breakfast all my life and I have a lot of pain and anxiety during periods can they be related? @Dr sanjana

Don't ever do that. I repeat don't. I have been in a similar situation as well. I didn't use to eat anything in breakfast and go to college empty stomach. then lunch also I used to skip sometimes. finally one proper meal that I use to hv was dinner. As a result of this cycle I got sick. I was getting vomiting for several days, loose motions. Make sure that you eat something in breakfast such as fruits, yogurt, bread, cereal etc.

Hi there, I hope you are well. -Yes, skipping meals can definitely have an impact on your menstrual cycle and it lead to painful periods. This has been proven by studies, as well. Skipping meals is considered to be a potential cause of increased menstrual pain. - However , I'd like to mention that skipping any meal of the day, may even lead digestive issues, including acidity, and bloating. - Hence, it is best to space out your meals, and if you feel that you cannot have a heavy breakfast, you can opt for a fruit with a couple of nuts, or have sprouts seasoned with black pepper, and salt. Also, you can opt for a smaller portion of any breakfast item, such as poha/upma/2 pieces of sandwich/1-2 idlis/1 moong chilla or pancake, etc. - This will ensure that you don't remain empty stomach.
