Hey @DrHimabinduKS I've been feeling a bit down about my hair loss recently and really want to find ways to improve it. Can you suggest some foods that could help with hair growth and that I should incorporate into my diet?

Hi there, I hope you are well. -We usually lose 50-100 strands of hair on a daily basis. -However, if the hair loss is more than usual, then, it needs to be assessed carefully. -There can be various reasons for hairloss, including certain nutrient deficiencies. -Other conditions such as PCOS, hypothyroidism, certain medications, stress, constant styling or coloring, poor diet, genetics, aging, pregnancy, lactation, smoking, infections, etc. - Hence, I would suggest that you get your blood work done to check nutritional deficiencies, etc. - CBC, thyroid profile, hormonal tests, Vitamin B12, iron levels, Vitamin D , calcium, and ferritin. Please check with your doctor as well. -You must include Iron, Vitamin B12, Protein, Folate , and Omega 3 rich foods to the diet. - Beans - Lentils - Green leafy vegetables - Flaxseeds - Chia seeds - Lean meat - Eggs - Ragi - Amaranth - Almonds - Walnuts - Dates - Yogurt - Cottage cheese - Raisins - Pistachios - Fatty fish - Avocado - Peas :)
