Hi there, I hope you are well. Acne flare ups happen due to hormonal fluctuations , and this can lead to increased sebum production culminating into clogged pores, and then, acne. However, yes, a healthier lifestyle can definitely help. •Incorporate fresh fruits, and vegetables in your diet as these are a good source of antioxidants. •Include foods which are rich in Vitamin C, and Vitamin E such as citrus fruits, guava, berries, bell-peppers, nuts(almonds, walnuts) seeds ( chia seeds, sunflower seeds), spinach, broccoli, etc. - Opt for yogurt, buttermilk over milk, cheese, and paneer. - Include probiotic rich foods such as kimchi, fermented pickles, idli, dosa, dhokla to the diet. - Add herbal teas such as spearmint tea, hibiscus tea, chamomile tea, and ginger tea to the routine. - Include omega-3 rich foods to the diet, avocado, fatty fish, nuts, and seeds. - For protein, have lean meat, beans, lentils, and millets. - Drink enough water and rest well. - Exercise for 20-30mins Take care
