I feel extremely dehydrated during periods. Is it the summer effect or something wrong with my diet?

Hi there, I hope you are well. It could be due to the summer season, as well as the blood loss caused by hormonal shift. Sometimes, women are likely to feel tired and dehydrated during their period, and hence, it's important for you to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water during your periods without fail. Also, consuming salty foods, or ultra processed foods with high sodium levels, and additives can also make you feel bloated and dehydrated. - Also, if you feel weak and fatigued during your periods, then, I'd suggest you to get your iron, Vitamin B12, ferritin, and Vitamin D levels checked :) I hope this helps.

what should I eat when I'm going through painful periods
#PeriodTalk We all know from common knowledge that an ideal period lasts between 3-5 days. However, for some women periods can last for 7 days throughout their lives. This doesn't indicate that something is wrong. The ideal period length is the average you have for each period. A normal period day would be using 3-5 pads, or changing out your cup 3-4 times a day. More on the first couple of days when periods are usually heavier. If you have to use more than 5-7 pads during all days of your period and feel increasing fatigue it would be ideal to get it checked to ensure there is no cause for heavy bleeding and you don't have anemia as a result.
