Hello, it can be difficult to be in this situation. If your docs are saying you are ok, and you don't feel well, then please jot down your symptoms, or the reasons why you don't feel well. Analyse them, and then decide which doc you should consult for them. this way you don't have to go to every doc.....and please believe your docs if they say all is well. Stress does increase the symptoms of ulcerative colitis, so keep your mind relaxed.

my friend texted me and told me that she is feeling sad, but i did not know how to react to it. can someone plz tell me what do i say if someone says they are not feeling good and are sad??
ask your friend some basic questions like "is something bothering them? or "do they want to talk about the situation why they are feeling so? or be empathetic and ask them if they would want to go out to change their mood and do something crazy?"

what is emotional loneliness?? Is it any different from normal loneliness that we feel??
Two things: Loneliness and being alone. I could be living alone and on my own. Or I am shopping alone or watching movie alone. Because I am enjoying my company. But loneliness is when I am not being able to connect with anyone. I feel disconnected. I want to reach out to others but as if I can't. I have people around me but as if they don't get me and I am in my shell. Enjoying one's company is not bad. But point is, which one are you?

Loneliness is an experience, never an illness. It's important that a person be comfortable with themselves in silence when no one is around.

how does loneliness affect the brain??
Loneliness can affect your mind in a lot of ways. We humans are social animal and we always seek for a social support. Due to increased amount of loneliness we start secreting lesser amount of oxytocin. And oxytocin is a happy hormone. Then next, our cortisol secretion increases. And cortisol also increases our stress. And with continuous stress we may experience hypertension. It will also lead to poor immune system plus our cognitive performance also decareses. But COTO provides a platform to connect with like minded people and share our woes. If you are having difficulty in maintaining relationship with your friends, family, co-workers and others, then we may discuss this in my live session. My live will be at 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and, 12:00 in the midnight to 2:00 a.m. So whenever you see fit, you may definitely contact me

Hello everyone, I'm Riteeka Rawat, a psychologist, and I’m excited to be part of coto women only platform. Growing up, I often saw people unfairly labeled and misunderstood. Instead of being taught why certain behaviors were wrong or how they could improve, they were belittled and dismissed. Women, in particular, are often expected to take a backseat when it comes to their own well-being and are even ridiculed for prioritizing self-care. I’m here to change that narrative. I’ve joined this platform to create a space where women can reclaim their mental health, feel truly understood, and receive the support they deserve. My goal is to help you navigate the complexities of life with confidence, resilience, and relationships with self-compassion. Join the group to share and support each other!!more
