And the rest will follow The only that limits us, our potential, is the limits we set on ourselves. Very often though, these limits are a result of our conditioning. And at other times, limits are imposed on us by the ecosystem. The first step of challenging these limits( self imposed or otherwise) is recognising them. And that happens through discussion, dialogue and debate. Let’s do this !

Just started college and already facing some serious homophobia from my classmates. They keep making jokes and spreading rumors. I don't want to tell my parents yet, but this is starting to affect my mental health. Any advice on how to handle this?
Anonymous8d
So first of all you should take help from your professor or some counselor who will help you in dealing with this problem. secondly if you feel like then you should share it with your parents. There is nothing wrong in that, instead they will support you and help you in this situation
Firstly thank you for sharing how you felt, secondly our culture in india is not queer affirmative but what we as individuals needs is acceptance of our own identity and am so glad you embrace it, facing bullying is difficult everyday i suggest talking to your counselor/therapist for helping you build resilience

I struggle with emotional eating during stressful times. What strategies can I use to manage this better ?
Identify your emotions and situations which leads you to unhealthy eating pattern and try to incorporate healthy alternative there. That's it! Then you are good to go girl.
Hi there, I hope you are well. If you struggle from emotional eating, during stressful times, then, here's what you can do. - Maintain a journal and jot down which food you are likely to crave during those times, whether it is salty, sugary, spicy, fried, etc. - Write the foods you are most likely to reach out to in case of a stressful situation. - Ask yourself as to whether you are hungry or trying to eat because you are stressed. - Learn to differentiate between physical hunger and emotional hunger. - Try to distract yourself by talking to a friend, listening to music, indulging in a hobby, some exercise, dancing, etc. - Avoid stocking unhealthy foods at home, and if you are likely to order online, then, delete foods apps completely. - Honour your cravings once a while, so that you don't end up Overeating whenever you are emotionally down. - Try to eat healthier alternatives of your favourite foods. - Opt for meditation or yoga as and when you feel emotionally stressed or drained :)

I am suffering with depression from past 10-12 years. I am taking regular psychiatric medicines also. But the major problem which I am facing in life is that I am having a vascillating mind. I am not able to stick to one plan for more than 2-3 days. I cannot follow anything religiously or with consistency. I lose my interest in anything I decide to do very soon. I can't even take bath daily because of mental lethargy. I have gained a lot of weight in these 10-12 years. It's 122 kg currently. I have tried meditation, yoga, walking, exercise everything. But I am not able to continue these things for a long time. I give up in 2-3 days everytime. I am 30 years old. I want to change my life. I want to get out of this vicious circle. How can I come out of it. Please widen my horizon about what is that is hindering in my life to move on and flourish and change. please advise and help me with your suggestions.
Hey there, thank you for sharing. Feeling like you've tried a lot of things and nothing working can be truly disheartening. It's understandable you feel frustrated and exhausted. I want to acknowledge the effort you've put in to find ways to feel better. It's definitely not easy. Since you've already been on medication for a long time, it's natural for your body to get resistant to it. Along with the meds, I would suggest to seek professional guidance from a psychologist for a fresh perspective. Sometimes a new perspective gives a glimmer of hope and might pave the way for your progress. Additionally, having a strong support system(friends, family) can also help you with motivation. Remember to be gentle with yourself during this challenging time, it's okay to take breaks and prioritize self care. Even though it might not feel like it now, things can change. If you want to explore further, you can get on a one-on-one call with me on the platform.
Hi Aparna, I hear your struggle,it is very challenging and 10-12 years is a long time. You have a lot of things at hand, weight management, depression, routine, etc all of which can be very overwhelming. You are very highly motivated Aparna but consistency is the issue, right? There is some negative self talk which is overpowering to keep you in a loop. Therapy is very important for you to get out of this loop. You can book a discovery call with me.

I feel that I experience FOMO every time I don’t do something my friends are doing or every time I skip going out with them. And this fear has now turned into panic attacks and fear of losing them. What do I do, How can I overcome this?
Dearest Anonymous... Before anything else... take a breath and know that you are not alone. But there are ways to deal with this. I am a Woman's Emotional Health Specialist..... the only one in India. would love to have a chat with you if you feel like it. 🌺 I have been working with Indian women in all their authenticity and distinction very closely. Would love to chat with you and figure out how I can help you be totally free from this feeling of FOMO you are experiencing. Please message me, if this feels like you want to give it a chance. loads of love and a big hug to you 😘
Fomo is a very natural feeling to have since humans are social animals and when we are deprived of that social context, it makes us anxious. If it is bothering you that your friends hang out without you, you can try communicating with them on how you're feeling. if you get the validation from them, it might make you feel better and less left out. You can also note if specific things are making you feel insecure or in a general sense. Additionally, if it is overwhelming you to the point of a panic attack, it is good to seek a professional's help who can help you with your issues specifically.

Emotional well being is key to overall physical and mental well-being. It is even more relevant in today's life which is full of stressor and the way we react to these stressors or for that matter any situation impacts our overall health. In order to stay emotionally healthy a simple technique can be of great use. One can follow the 'STOP' technique when there is a need to respond immediately. Sometimes we react instantaneously which makes us regret later. Instead of reacting to a situation, one can follow the four simple steps. 1. stop and pause the thought process. This is important as our mind brings in a lot of information in a fraction of a second, some of it may be useful and a lot of it may not be, 2. take few deep breaths to bring yourself in the present, 3. observe what is going on, how your emotions and thought process are reacting to the situation while bringing in a lot of bodily sensations, then 4.proceed with your action. This gives you time to make an internal choice to incorporate in the situation. Your observation of the sensations, emotions, and thoughts in the given situation would have given you a lot of information about how you must respond. Here, the internal narrative should always be that of considering oneself as an observer outside of a situation. This gives that much more time to identify the problem and respond appropriately.more
